A customer referral program (“Invite Friends”) is being offered by MoneyGram Payment Systems, Inc. and its affiliates (“MoneyGram”) to existing online users (an “Advocate”) of MoneyGram® online products and services. Invite Friends is a voluntary program that offers discounts to both Advocates and their eligible family and friends residing in the same country who become MoneyGram online customers (a “Referee”). Valid for international money transfers.

1. Eligibility.

a. Advocate. Must be an existing MoneyGram online (“MGO”) customer in the United States who has already completed at least one (1) online international transaction.

b. Referee. Must not be an existing MGO customer but participates in Invite Friends by registering for an MGO profile and completing an international money transfer online. A Referee can be an existing customer who transacts at retail store locations.

c. Participation. Advocates cannot refer themselves or create duplicate or fake profiles to harvest discounts. If your Referee already has an MGO profile and has completed a money transfer online or has been referred by another person, they are not eligible to participate. Invite Friends participation is void where prohibited by applicable law, rule or regulation. You agree that you will always provide and keep up-to-date accurate MGO profile information. By sending an invitation you confirm that you have obtained the Referee’s prior consent to receive it.

2. Referral Process. An eligible Advocate will use their own means to communicate a personalized Invite Friends link to their Referees (i.e. via email, text, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.), via MGO or the MoneyGram® App Invite Friends page. The potential Referee will receive a unique link or promo code from the Advocate, which once registered on the MoneyGram website or app, can be used to get a discount on their first online international money transfer with MoneyGram. The Referee can claim their referral discount by using the unique link or promo code from their Advocate. After Referee completes an online international money transfer transaction (which has been received by the recipient), Advocate may receive an email indicating that a discount has been automatically applied. The discount will be automatically available to use and applied to their next online international money transfer. Personal data is processed in accordance with the MoneyGram Privacy Policy; Referees will receive all the information required.

3. Discount and Usage.

a. General. The general requirements for Invite Friends will be provided on the Refer and Earn page (as updated from time to time) (“Program Requirements”), including, (i) whether you are eligible to participate, (ii) the required minimum Transfer amount, (iii) the value of the discount that you may receive, (iv) how many discounts you are eligible to receive and store for future use based on the number of completed Transfers made by your Referees, and (v) any other conditions attached to Invite Friends. Advocates may refer an unlimited number of unique Referees. The automatic Invite Friends discount provided to the Advocate expires after sixty (60) days of issuance. The Invite Friends discount provided to the Referee does not expire. The Invite Friends discount will be applied to the Transfer and may not be combined with any other available promo codes or other promotional pricing offers.

b. Advocate Usage. An Advocate may have multiple Referrer discounts available. Only one (1) earned discount will be applied at a time to the next online money transfer transaction to reduce the total amount paid for the transaction. A maximum of ten (10) earned discounts will be automatically stored for future use.

c. Referee Usage. The Referee should claim their discount once registered with an MGO profile by using the unique link or promo code provided by their Advocate on their first online money transfer transaction. A Referee, after making an international money transfer, can become an Advocate and earn up to a maximum of ten (10) Advocate discounts.

d. Limitations. Any maximum Invite Friends discounts rewarded per Advocate will be disclosed in your Program Requirements. The Invite Friends discount is not applicable for use on Express Payment, Utility Bill Payment services, Prepaid Card transactions, Mobile Phone Top-ups nor Money Orders. Not valid online at WalMart.com money center site. Invite Friends Customer Referral Program is only valid for online money transfers at MoneyGram.com or the MoneyGram Money Transfers App.

4. Subject to Change or Cancellation. The Invite Friends program and any associated discounts are subject to change or cancellation at any time and from time to time in the sole discretion of MoneyGram. In the event of a substantial modification to this Important Information, MoneyGram will inform you within a reasonable time before such modification takes effect. We may suspend your MGO profile, participation in Invite Friends and/or cancel your discounts, for any reason, including but not limited to fraudulent representations and actions by you, or if prohibited by applicable law, rule or regulation. Discounts have no cash value and will not earn interest and are not insured against loss. Discounts cannot be purchased, sold, combined or transferred in any way.
