How much will I earn?
Open the Refer and Earn page in the app or in your online account. It shows the current discounts available for you and any friends you refer. Reward amounts can change, so check before you share.
What counts as a qualifying transfer?
Your friend must send an online international money transfer using the MoneyGram app or on MoneyGram online. The referral discount does not apply to domestic transfers, Express Payment, Bill Payment services, Prepaid Card transactions, Mobile Phone Top Ups, or Money Orders. Your friend's transfer must follow MoneyGram's T&Cs.
How do I get my reward?
Your referral link and code track everything automatically. As long as your friend uses your unique promo code, their discount is applied at checkout on their first qualifying transfer. Your reward is added to your account the next day. Use it on a qualifying transfer within 60 days. If your friend loses the link, they can re-enter your referral code manually at checkout.
How will I know when I've earned a reward?
We'll notify you by email the day after your friend's qualifying transfer is completed. When you log in to the app or your online account, your discount will be waiting for you, automatically applied to your next qualifying money transfer.
How do I use my reward?
Your reward is automatically applied on your next international transfer, subject to a minimum amount, which is shared in the app or your online account.
Do rewards expire or have a limit?
As a referrer, discounts that you earn expire 60 days after you friend’s first qualifying transfer, so use them before then. You can earn 10 in total. Rewards stack and are applied one at a time, starting with the one closest to expiring.
Does my friend's discount expire?
No. Your friend can use your code whenever they're ready to send their first qualifying transfer, as long as your MoneyGram account stays active and you haven't already referred 10 friends.
Can I combine my reward with other promotions?
No. Only one referral discount will be applied per transfer. After using one earned reward, please allow 24 hours for the next reward to apply (if one is in the queue).
Can I exchange my reward for cash?
No. Rewards can only be used as a discount on future MoneyGram transfers.
