What kind of card does MoneyGram Account offer?
With your MoneyGram Account, you receive a Visa digital Debit Card, which can be used anywhere Visa is accepted for purchases. You can request a physical debit card if you choose.
What features are available with the MoneyGram Account?
With the MoneyGram Account and Debit Card you can: Seamlessly transfer funds between your MoneyGram Account and your other bank account(s). Conveniently and quickly send and receive money transfers between other MoneyGram Accounts with no fees. Use the funds in your account with the digital debit card anywhere Visa is accepted for purchases. Add your debit card info to Apple Pay or Google Pay to use your card anywhere mobile payments are accepted. Freeze and unfreeze your MoneyGram Debit Card right from the MoneyGram App.
Is my money in MoneyGram Account insured by the FDIC?
Yes. Funds are FDIC insured, subject to applicable limitations and restrictions, when we receive the funds deposited to your account. MoneyGram is not itself a bank or a FDIC-insured institution and the FDIC’s deposit insurance coverage only protects against the failure of a FDIC-insured institution. Pathward, National Association is a FDIC-insured depository institution.
Does my MoneyGram Account come with checks?
MoneyGram doesn’t offer checks and we don’t support check processing. Instead, you can pay people using your MoneyGram Debit Card, or you can provide your account information directly through your biller’s website to pay your bills.
Can I use MoneyGram Account with MoneyGram’s bill pay service?
MoneyGram Account will be added to the MoneyGram bill pay service in the near future.
