How do I send money transfers to a mobile phone via text message?
Send money to your loved one's Apple or Android phones with a text! From there, they can deposit to their debit card. Confirm your receiver has a Visa debit card. Log into your MoneyGram profile online or in-app. Start a mobile device money transfer by selecting Name & Mobile Number as the receive method. Fill out the necessary fields and be sure to enter the legal name for your receiver. After you complete the transaction, your receiver will receive a text message from us letting them know the money is ready for deposit. They will log into the website or app, enter their Visa debit card number and complete the transfer.
Can I pay with Google Pay using the MoneyGram® Money Transfers app?
This feature is not yet available within the mobile app.
What payment methods are available using the MoneyGram mobile app?
Users can pay with a debit or credit card*, bank account, MoneyGram Account, Apple Pay, or stage a cash transaction depending on where they’re located. Card issuer cash advance fee and associated interest charges may apply when you use a credit card. *Your credit card company may charge a cash advance fee and interest charges.
Does the MoneyGram® Money Transfers app save receiver details for repeating transfers?
Yes, for repeating transfers, the mobile app saves the details of the receiver for your convenience.
Can I pay with Apple Pay using the MoneyGram® Money Transfers app?
Yes, you can pay with Apple Pay on iOS devices.
What information do I need to provide to send a money transfer with the MoneyGram® Money Transfers app?
Receiver and payment details are required for money transfers within the MoneyGram® Money Transfers app. Depending on the receive methods and the send amount, additional information may be required.
Is the MoneyGram® Money Transfers app available in all countries and territories?

How much money can you send through the MoneyGram mobile app?
You can send small or large dollar amounts via MoneyGram. Limits vary based on the payment method, send country, receive country, and receive method selected. Current limits are available on MoneyGram online. Additionally, send limits may be determined by your bank account, credit card*, or debit card limits. *Your credit card company may charge a cash advance fee and interest charges.
